About Our Services

Why is it so expensive?
Producing a demo requires a lot of work, equipment, and experience.  Demos can cost around $5000 or $6000, but we only charge $1500 to completely produce your first demo with us, and additional demos are discounted.  Check out our pricing page for other services and discounts we provide.

I recorded my own demo, but I want it to sound better.  Can you help me fix it?
We'd love to!  We offer free advice, and our pricing page shows what individual services we can provide to polish your demo.  If you'd like our help with something we don't have listed, just ask us.

How long does it take to produce a demo with you?
Anywhere from a week to a few months, entirely depending on your needs and our schedule. We produce demos in our free time, so delivery time can vary. We’ll talk with you about how quickly you need your demo, and we’ll schedule something that works for both of us.

About Demos

Why do I need a demo?
Your demo showcases what you do best, demonstrating your acting ability, vocal range, creativity, and most importantly what you sound like. Voice overs come in many varieties (commercial, animation, audio books, narration, etc.) so you'll need a demo for each style you're interested in.

Can I make my own demo?
Recording your own demo sounds easy enough, and it's the cheaper option, but doing it yourself means being limited to your own abilities. To produce a great demo, you need experience in production, engineering, sound design, pacing, music copyright, and more.

How long should a demo be?
It depends on what kind of demo you're producing. 60 to 90 seconds works for a commercial or animation demo; it's long enough to demonstrate plenty of range, and short enough that the listener doesn't get bored. 3 to 5 minutes is better for audio book demos, in order to showcase your ability shift easily from character to character and stay engaging.

What do you do with it?
Put it online. Your demo is your business card, and the easiest way to get the attention of an agency. Upload your demo to the front page of your website or social media outlet of your choice (and make sure it’s a downloadable MP3.) You can send your demo link to agencies you're interested in, or email an MP3 of your demo directly to someone who requests it. In most cases you get one shot to impress so it's best to make it easy to find and play.
